Adult golfers age 18 and older who want to improve their game in time for the spring season are invited to sign up for Rockford Park District’s indoor golf clinics scheduled January 13-March 10, 2014. The 50-minute group lessons meet Monday afternoons, 12:30-1:20 p.m. or 1:30-2:20 p.m., at the Indoor Sports Center in Loves Park, IL, and are taught by PGA members and PGA apprentices. Attend all, some, or one - each clinic will focus on a specific type of shot or skill: Wedges, Irons, Woods, Accuracy, and Full Swing. Fees are $20 ($23 non-resident). Limited openings are still available in fall sessions of Rockford Park District's popular Tiger Cub Club for youth golfers ages 5-7. The program meets once a week for four weeks in 45-minute morning or afternoon sessions at Ingersoll Learning Links or Elliot Golf Course. PGA members and apprentices introduce children to the lifetime leisure sport in a fun, friendly atmosphere of game based learning. The next sessions begin August 24 and August 28. The program fee is $50.00 ($60.00 non-resident).
